Summary: The Hoover family treks from Albuquerque to the Little Miss Sunshine pageant in Redondo Beach, California, to fulfill the deepest wish of 7-year-old Olive, an ordinary little girl with big dreams. Along the way the family must deal with crushed dreams, heartbreaks, and a broken-down VW bus, leading up to the surreal Little Miss Sunshine competition itself. On their travels through this bizarre landscape, the Hoovers learn to trust and support each other along the path of life, no matter what the challenge. (IMDb)

My thoughts: I LOVED this movie. It's one of the best I've seen lately. The characters were funny and very likeable. Some people complain that the characters are too quirky, but their quirks are what made me love the movie. Paul Dano managed to give an amazing performance, even though he didn't talk for most of the movie. Steve Carell is hilarious, as always. Abigail Breslin shines as the innocent, average child in the midst of this crazy family. The acting is perfect. This movie made me laugh so hard I was in tears! I was lucky enough to get tickets to a free screening a few weeks before it was released here, and everyone in the theatre was laughing hysterically. A great movie which I recommend to EVERYONE. If you haven't seen it yet, I encourage you to do so. You won't regret it. *****

Must... see... movie... ARG. I have to wait until we go down to London for the weekend... that's like, two weeks away.
I realllllly want to see it again. I haven't seen it since the day it had it's wide release, which was...August 18th, I think. It makes me sad :(
Well, if when I get to see it, I'll send you mental images. So technically you'll be watching it too. Though due to the time difference you might be dreaming you were watching it. haha.
